Gene Edwards is going to be spending a weekend at Berry College with students
hungry to know the Lord better.

Gene has shared with college
students before. Click here to listen to the messages that he delivered to
a group of college students in Phoenix, Arizona.
What do I mean? Well, instead of talking about
ourselves, or even what the Lord is doing in our lives, we will turn our entire
meeting into time spent with the Lord. When we begin, we can sing to Him, and
then share Him directly to one another during the meeting. In other words, we'll
read from John and our journals, to one another, letting the Lord speak. And
we'll respond to what we hear, directly, right then, in the meeting.
It'll be important to start on time--8:30pm,
Fridays. We'll spend a set-apart time wholly given to our Lord. When we feel the
Fellowship begin to fade for that week, we can decisively end that portion of
the meeting and then do whatever we want--eat, talk, cut up and what have you.
But it would be great if we had an hour to 90 minutes just for Him. Tim, who has
been ministering in this way for decades, has never tried this experiment on a
college campus before but has in other settings seen it deeply enrich the lives
of fellowships he has worked with.
Again, this is just an experiment. We might
fail...often. But this sounds like something worth failing at, right?
